Catch is made up of two one-acts, Sideline and Catch.
Sideline was inspired by the stories of five young men who grew up, went to school and currently live in South Central Los Angeles. Their stories weave in and out of the life of James; a teenager resentful of his new step-dad. With the energy of a pick up basketball game, the five men help James navigate the road to becoming a man.
Three generations of fathers and sons come together in a prison hospice unit at the request of convicted murderer, Grandpa Joe. The three men must traverse physical and emotional barriers to find connection with each other, with God, and ultimately with life itself.
