When Justice and Peace Kiss is Streetlamp’s annual poetry and music concert. Youth from the South Los Angeles neighborhood are mentored for one month by professional musicians and spoken word artists. During this collaboration the youth write poetry, songs and raps that are then rehearsed and performed alongside the professionals. The entire program is done with support from our partner organization, Redeemer Community Partnership, who continues to develop the youth in leadership throughout the entire school year.
