Local musicians mentored Neighborhood kids and helped them write their own poetry, which was performed at the Lucy Florence Café to a sold-out audience. We received so much positive feedback that we launched another program with the same title the following year at the USC VIllage Gate Theater. The number of kids involved doubled, as did the audience.
