Streetlamp Studio is a nonprofit theatre company founded in 2006 and based in South Los Angeles. Our mission is to be a catalyst for love and justice in LA through theatre and the creative arts. We are committed to producing original works that generate discussion about relationships, community, and spirituality.

In addition to writing and performing, Streetlamp Studio empowers the youth of South LA through mentoring and creative expression. To date we have produced two youth oriented projects. When Justice and Peace Kiss, connected a group of middle and high school aged youth with adult mentors and gave them the opportunity to create and perform original music, rap and poetry about seeking justice in their neighborhood. The most recent program was a 4 week meditation on Joy through the art of story telling, culminating in a community screening 4 short films, featuring the youth and directed and edited by industry professionals.
